Relax in Hoi An

Be sure to set aside 3 days to explore and enjoy Hoi An and the areas around the Ancient City.  Bicycling (Photos), walking or local day tours will show you Hoi An’s culture and let you relax.

Take a few days  to enjoy the culture and beach relaxation of Hoi An and the surrounding countryside. The fascinating ancient port of Hoi An is a maze of narrow streets, witness to the legacy of the Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese traders who used the port in years gone by.  These days, it is a chance to rest on one of Hoi An’s nearby beaches, leisurely walk along the so peaceful narrow streets of Hoian and while relaxing at a local family run hotel/guesthouse. You can easily rent a bicycle through the front desk of your hotel or a street vendor.

Or you can try your skill at water sports including para-sailing, jet skiing, water skiing and diving.  If you’re not a water sports fan consider a day tour of the Cham Ruins – Photos – Ruins of nearby My Son and/or the Cham Museum – Photos – in DaNang .  China Beach (Photos) is about 15 kilometers from Hoi An – easily accessible by bicycle, motorbike or taxi.

Hoi An also boasts some of the best silk shops, art galleries and handicraft shops in Vietnam as well as dozens of excellent restaurants serving the delicious local specialties.
